H1N1 Pandemic - Bulletin #2
October 28, 2009 As I indicated in my letter earlier this week the H1N1 outbreak will likely become a dominant issue for the foreseeable future. During this period, it is my intention to keep you informed of developments on a timely basis. Consequently, you can expect to hear from me more frequently than usual. I will from time to time ask for information from you and urge you to do your utmost to respond, as the kind of information we are requesting is important for us to be able to support all our members optimally.

Antiviral Dosing for Dialysis Patients (PDF)

After recent discussion with Dr. Brendon Barrett - Medical Director for the Provincial Kidney Program there have been alterations suggested to the antiviral dosages, for patients undergoing both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, that had been previously circulated.

Call for Nominations

Deadline November 27, 2009
On behalf of the CMA, the NLMA is inviting members to nominate candidates for the position of CMA President-Elect. Members of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) in Newfoundland and Labrador will be selecting the nominee for the position of CMA President-Elect for 2010-11 in a province-wide vote early next year. All Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association (NLMA) members who are also members of the CMA are eligible to vote.
