NLMA president joins Kids Eat Smart Week celebrations

Dr. Susan King enjoys a morning smile and orange juice with Andrew Richards at the Buckmasters Circle Community Center, November 20, 2003.

Scrambled eggs, toast, juice and smiles were the order of the day as NLMA President joined kids and volunteers in celebration of Kids Eat Smart Week.

Scrambled eggs, toast, juice and smiles were the order of the day as NLMA President and Kids Eat Smart Leading Thinker Dr. Susan King joined kids and volunteers at Buckmasters Circle Community Center for breakfast in celebration of Kids Eat Smart Week.
Kids Eat Smart Foundation Newfoundland and Labrador supports 143 Kids Eat Smart Clubs at schools and community centers throughout the province. As a Kids Eat Smart Leading Thinker, Dr. King helps promote the importance of good childhood nutrition to education, health and well-being.
“Every day in practice, we work to help people of all ages overcome the ill effects of poor childhood nutrition. Kids Eat Smart Foundation is helping to prevent long-term ills by supporting nutrition programs now,” said Dr. King. “Good food is good for kids, good for health care, and good for society. And the scrambled eggs, cooked by Harry the volunteer, were perfect.”
