Stephen Jerrett, Director of Negotiations and Health Economics, has announced he will be leaving the NLMA to pursue other interests.

Mr. Jerrett has accepted an executive position with the Central Regional Health Authority. He will begin his new position the beginning of May 2008. The Association greatly appreciates Steve’s dedication and service on behalf of the NLMA membership and the medical profession.

“Steve has been a good friend and stellar member of the NLMA team,” says NLMA Executive Director, Rob Ritter. “As much as we are disappointed to see him leave our organization, we know that he will continue to be an asset to the health care system within the Central region.”

Mr. Jerrett joined the NLMA team in 2001 and has served the NLMA well in negotiations and in helping guide a number of important initiatives.

“All of us will feel Steve’s absence, but regardless of the path he pursues after leaving the NLMA, I know he will continue to exert a positive influence on the health care profession,” says Mr. Ritter. “I know I speak on behalf of all the staff and directors of the NLMA in wishing Steve and his family all the best for many years to come.”
