Nomination Deadline March 29, 2010 The NLMA Honorary Life Membership Award recognizes persons who has distinguished himself or herself by their achievements in medicine or an allied science, or who has rendered distinguished service to the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association (NLMA).

2010 Gerry Lynch Memorial Scholarship

Application Deadline March 16, 2010 The Gerry Lynch Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a third (NEW FOR 2010) or fourth year medical student at Memorial University for the completion of a research paper on a medical/political topic. Gerry Lynch (1936-1994) served as Executive Director of the NLMA for 27 years. This scholarship’s focus reflects the contribution Mr. Lynch made to health care policy, both provincially and nationally.

Content submissions are evaluated for relevance to NLMA members and should include the following:

  • Heading of 10 words or less to be linked to an external website or a PDF (if available);

  • Date of the event (if applicable);

  • Body of 50 words or less (written in the third person);

  • Link/URL to additional information; and/or,

  • PDF of additional information.

The NLMA reserves the right to edit for style or length, or not accept whole or in part any content submission.
